Phase II engineering services were required for the proposed roadway and bridge rehabilitation on the Reagan Memorial Tollway between M.P. 76.1 (IL 251) to M.P. 91.4 (Annie Glidden Road) in Ogle and DeKalb Counties, Illinois. The project crosses two major watersheds, the Rock River, and the Kishwaukee River. Most of the work for this project included the rehabilitation of existing mainline and ramp pavements as well as existing bridges. Other work included drainage, erosion and sediment control, pavement marking and signage.
d’Escoto, Inc. provided Phase II Drainage Design and Landscaping Services for 15 miles along I-88 Reagan Memorial Tollway. Specifically, the d’Escoto, Inc. staff performed the following:
• Prepared a drainage concept report to define and investigate the existing drainage conditions including the condition of headwalls, culverts, underdrains, and ditches.
• Conducted a barrier warrant analysis (BWA) to address hazards related to headwall replacement and re-grading.
• Prepared final plans including plan sheets, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure client satisfaction with the prime consultant and the Illinois Tollway.
• Assisted with the implementation of the Landscape Master Plan throughout the I-88 corridor.
