• Inspecting and documenting pay quantities, material testing, constructing staking and layout, and surveying the job site to verify plan lines, grades, and elevations, including contractor compliance with soils special provisions
• Verifying and submitting required project documentation, including job diaries, weekly reports, daily quantities, field books, calculations, erosion control, and traffic control reports, into the Construction and Materials Management System, ensuring construction was performed in accordance with plans and specifications
• Assisting the Illinois Department of Transportation’s resident engineer in resolving field condition conflicts and coordinating with local stakeholders, including affected businesses, schools, and residents, to manage construction impacts
• Implementing  a project documentation system for submittals, material inspection, pay applications, scope changes, Requests for Information, and progress photography
• Photographing and documenting all areas of the site impacted by construction
• Conducting bi-weekly progress meetings with stakeholders and the contractor, and coordinating and chairing traffic, utility, and materials meetings
• Preparing, reviewing, and submitting pay estimates, change orders, agreed unit prices, force account work, and authorizations
• Coordinating material testing and tracking HMA, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC), and soils test reports
• Managing inspectors and assigning their current and ongoing responsibilities
• Providing the District with an as-built set upon project completion
