Description

d’Escoto, Inc. (d’Escoto) served as a subconsultant to Lochmueller for the proposed pavement and structural preservation and rehabilitation on the Reagan Memorial Tollway between Illinois Route 56 to Aurora Toll. The overall project scope was comprised of the rehabilitation of the existing mainline pavement and bridges, revised ITS and lighting, erosion and sediment control, barrier warrant analysis, utility protection and relocation, and other miscellaneous roadway items. This project is part of Move Illinois, a 15-year, $14 billion capital program to reduce travel time, pollution, and increase mobility by creating jobs and connecting economies throughout the region.

Services Provided

d’Escoto provided civil and drainage engineering services for the preparation of contract plans, specifications, and related permits. Responsibilities included:
• On-site field inspection of existing safety related assets within site
• Created location plans for each Area of Concern within the project limit, including light poles, headwalls, and OHS
• Created cross-section sheets for removing and relocating roadway signs
• Calculated existing guardrail length and provided recommendation for location and length or proposed guardrail
• Assisted with ditch profile to help improve the drainage system
• Prepared barrier warrant analysis report with location map, photos, Lv. 0, Lv. 1 tables, and Lv. 2 analysis
• Prepared special provisions, summary of quantities, and cost-estimate documents
