This Phase III project included construction management, documentation, and field oversight for roadway improvements along a 19-mile segment of I-39 in Lee & LaSalle Counites. The scope of work included Class A & B pavement patching, removing a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), filling joints and cracks, applying reflective crack control treatment, and HMA paving. Finally, a unique Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course (UTBWC) was paved, improving and extending the pavement’s life, and rumble strips, pavement markings and fog seal were installed.
• Generating weekly reports, pay estimates, and authorizations
• Coordinating daily schedules, lane closures, and meetings with stakeholders
• Coordinating surveyors and QA personnel for required testing
• Managing inspectors and overseeing daily field operations
• Requesting and scheduling independent weight backs and trooper assistance
• Conducting daily inspections and traffic control
• Generating Inspectors Daily Reports and Daily Activity Reports, and collecting evidence of inspection
• Verifying construction layout
