Description

The Sewer Design Services, Irving Park and Old Irving Park Neighborhoods project involved the installation of 5,498 feet of 42-inch, 36-inch, 30-inch and 24-inch combined sewer in the Irving Park and Old Irving Park Neighborhoods, near the intersection of W. Irving Park Rd and N. Pulaski Rd. All this was done following the QA/QC procedure developed to deliver a high-quality project ahead of schedule.

Services Provided

d’Escoto, Inc. provided phase II engineering taking the design from a simple profile to a complete set of plans. Tasks included:

    • Locating existing utilities and determining existing project conditions
    • Utility coordination to determine plan location and profile elevation of the proposed sewer to minimize conflicts
    • Working with the Chicago Office of Underground Coordination (OUC) to get the project permitted
    • ADA ramp design to increase pedestrian accessibility
    • Pavement rehabilitation to reduce pavement flooding
    • Designing specialty structures where unique sewer configurations were required
