Description

d’Escoto, Inc. provided construction management services to the Chicago Department of Water Management’s (CDWM) private drain sewer improvements located throughout the City of Chicago, delivered though multi-year task order-based contracts.

Services Provided

Inspectors:
• Inspecting private drain repair work to verify compliance with City standards and specifications, including excavating, exposing, and opening the private drain
• Preparing daily construction reports
• Monitoring camera insertion to locate blockages and preparing daily reports with measurement sheets
• Preparing break reports and coordinating with utilities and other agencies when lines after affected
• Approving monthly estimates after inspecting street restoration for each private drain repairs
• Addressing public concerns and attending community meetings

Resident Engineers:
• Managing incoming work orders using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software, tracking daily production, and streamlining monthly invoicing
• Coordinating contractor schedules and analyzing performance to increase uptime, reduce costs, and ensure timely repairs
• Performing site inspections and supporting inspectors as needed, and reviewing daily reports and measurement sheets
• Assisted the contractor with utility coordination
• Coordinating utility and interagency communication
• Assisting City personnel with PCMs, LICs, field orders, ADA ramp requests, quality control reports, and monthly estimates

Together, our team members ensure that contractors secure all necessary permits and continue to move forward with programmed projects for Far North, North and Central Sewer Lining Program.
