Description

The Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) has identified a multi-year Capital Improvement Program which includes projects at all its various properties, including family housing, senior housing, scattered site housing and specialty, non-housing. To assist the HACC in the design and construction of projects identified in the Capital Improvement Program, the HACC solicited professional design firms to provide architectural and civil design services on a task order basis.

Chicago Heights Veterans Home is a four-story, 82-unit, affordable housing complex for veterans in Downtown Chicago Heights. The building will be constructed on a vacant lot that once served as a parking lot for the now-defunct Franciscan Hospital on the northwest corner of Otto Blvd. and E. 15th Street. The new apartment complex will be near a new Town Square that will include a plaza space for public events and gatherings.
