The d’Escoto team provided Construction Inspection services for the improvements of widening and resurfacing of 0.56 miles of US BUS 20 and other affected streets including Mill Road, Perryville Road, and Buckley Drive. Project scope encompassed widening and resurfacing of 0.56 miles of US BUS 20 and other affected streets including Mill Road, Perryville Road, and Buckley Drive. Additional work included pavement, sidewalk, and curb and gutter removal and replacement, earth excavation, PCC base course, HMA resurfacing, multiuse path construction, modular block retaining wall, storm sewers, traffic signals, lighting, signing and pavement markings, and site restoration.
• Providing inspection and documentation of pay quantities, material testing and inspection (on site), construction staking, and layout as required or needed
• Completing required documentation requirements and construct the work in accordance with the plans and specifications
• Assisting the RE with all documentation, including but not limited to: job diary, weekly reports, daily quantities, field books, and calculations
• Assisting the RE with coordination of all local stakeholders including affected businesses, schools, and residents to ensure any possible impacts such as utilities or driveway access during construction was coordinated and maintained
• Implementing a project documentation system, including filing logs for submittals, pay applications, scope changes, RFIs and progress photography
• Reviewing existing site conditions and photograph/document every aspect of the site that will be impacted by the construction
