As part of an ongoing contract to provide Phase III Construction Inspection services for the Illinois Department of Transportation, District 2, Work Order 4 was assigned in March 2020. Work began in April 2020 and completed in October 2020.
Project scope encompassed Class A & B Concrete Pavement patching, as well as cold milling surface removal and HMA resurfacing (mainline and shoulder) on IL 251 from the Wisconsin state line south to Forrest Hills Road in Machesney Park. Final pavement marking including raised reflective pavement markings, guardrail reconstruction and video detection installation was completed.
d’Escoto performed inspection and documentation of pay quantities, material testing and inspection on site, as well as construction staking, and layout as required or needed. This included but not limited to keeping the job diary, weekly reports, daily quantities, and field books, as well as performing calculations, and layout.
d’Escoto received a very positive review on this project as well as accolades from district staff.
