Investing in Illinois: A Nicor Gas System Improvement Initiative is a multi-year initiative to modernize aging natural gas infrastructure. Nicor Gas, with its contractor NPL, is modernizing the system that delivers natural gas safely and reliably to the Elmhurst, Illinois neighborhood outline above.
This project includes the retirement and removal of a 20” natural gas main and then the installation of a new 20” steel natural gas main.
d’Escoto, Inc. provided a General Inspector to oversee the Contractor’s work on this project. The General Inspector oversees all construction activities and reports back to Nicor, as well as reviews drawings, permit requirements and all construction plans and specifications. Daily inspection logs are also completed and submitted.
