Description

Lower Concourse Extension, Task 2, is part of the New Transmission Mains Project consisting of over 28,000 LF of 24” carbon steel interior and exterior coated pipe. The project scope consists of installing fuel pipes, fuel pits, high point vents, flushing and testing the piping system to service relocated aircraft, and extending the existing fuel loop at Terminal 1, Concourse C, to serve five relocated gates. This project will ensure the relocated transmission mains are compatible with the overall Jet-A-fuel system master plan.

Services Provided

d’Escoto, Inc. provided construction field inspection services. Key responsibilities included monitoring and coordinating with field staff on two separate construction teams, while submitting daily reports and documentation to the project management team. Additionally, the team conducted weekly progress meetings to inform the contractors, subcontractors, O’Hare Fuel Committee, CDA, and O’Hare International Airport personnel on the state of the project. The d’Escoto team acted strictly in accordance with FSIP guidelines, policies, and procedures.
