As part of the O’Hare 21 program, this work order required d’Escoto to reroute, install, and commission new fiber optic lines for critical FAA & CDA systems throughout the airfield. The scope of work for this project included FAA fiber optic cabling relocations for over 65 miles of innerduct & 80 miles of fiber optic lines which were installed and over 49 miles of decommissioned fiber optic lines were removed. Rerouted, installed, and commissioned new fiber optic lines for critical FAA & CDA systems throughout the airfield. The d’Escoto team’s services include but were not limited to the following:
• Oversight of all daily construction activities, verifying the contractor followed all contract documents, and performing in compliance with CDA & FAA standards and specifications.
• Ensuring all materials & installation procedures incorporated into the project was approved per FAA guidelines & requirements.
• Providing daily communication to the contractor and TPAP PM regarding scheduling concerns, project matters, issues, and resolutions.
• Documenting and uploading work activities & photos into TPAP Procore CM software.
