Description

Located in the Southeast Cargo Area, this was a Runway 10R/28 enabling project, providing the additional ARFF equipment that would be required once the new runway became operational. The airport rescue and firefighting station was expanded by 10,800 sf to include includes 3 additional parking bays for apparatuses and equipment on the first floor, along with associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, communications, security, and CO2 exhaust systems Firefighter dormitory space on the second floor includes locker rooms and storage areas. The project was finished with updated landscaping and repaving of the vehicle service driveway apron, which now accommodates drive-thru apparatus bays, and improved the curbing on the path and the drainage west of the addition. Construction took place within the Airfield Operating Area.

Our team provided construction inspection, quality assurance, scheduling services, contract administration and office engineering support for this project—providing managerial and clerical services to implement and enforce all applicable codes, standards, specifications, policies and procedures. With a full understanding of the project scope, plans and specifications, our team also coordinated between the direct project assignment and other active program assignments.
